Role Snapshot
SMU seeks a Senior Network Engineer to provide advanced engineering and support for the campus networking infrastructure while leading proof-of-concept projects and fostering innovation in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities: Support and administer networking services including routers, switches, and wireless technologies; lead proof-of-concept infrastructure models; configure network devices; troubleshoot complex issues; and continuously improve networking processes across the campus.
Skills & Tools: Expert-level knowledge of network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless technologies (802.11), OSPF, BGP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and NAC solutions; strong problem-solving abilities and data visualization skills for communicating with non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; minimum five years of experience in network operations with familiarity of various network protocols and devices.
Location: Dallas, Texas
Compensation: $90K–$130K/yr
