Your Role
We’re looking for a Senior Instructional Designer to join our Learning & Talent team. This is a crucial individual contributor role focused on leading the design, development, and delivery of high-impact learning experiences across Hudl. You’ll be a strategic partner, helping to shape a learning culture add that is accessible, respectful, and empowering for all employees, with a special emphasis on Inclusion principles. As a Senior Instructional Designer, you’ll:
- Lead the Design Lifecycle. You'll own the full instructional design process, from intake and content strategy to the final development and implementation of solutions.
- Build Engaging Content. Design and develop engaging, interactive learning content across multiple modalities, including e-learning modules, live and virtual workshops, and blended programs.
- Champion Inclusion. Ensure all learning content is inclusive, accessible, and free of bias. You’ll develop specialized programs, such as unconscious bias training and allyship workshops, to promote a culture of belonging.
- Partner with Experts. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and leaders to translate complex information into clear, compelling, and actionable learning materials that meet our business goals.
- Innovate Learning. Apply adult learning principles and stay ahead of emerging trends, leveraging innovative learning technologies, including AI-driven tools, to create personalized and scalable learning solutions.
- Manage Impactful Projects. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and use data to evaluate program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
Location
For this role, we're currently prioritizing candidates who live within a commuting distance of our office in Lincoln, NE. But with our flexible work policy, there aren't any requirements for the number of days you come to the office.

- Experienced Designer. You have five or more years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and learning innovation.
- A Solid Portfolio. You can showcase a range of learning solutions and subjects, including examples of inclusive design.
- Inclusion Advocate. Demonstrated experience in creating and/or consulting on Inclusion learning and talent initiatives.
- Tech Proficient. Proficiency with authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Progressive Thinker. You’re a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, capable of taking on an individual contributor role in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Flexible. You have experience creating content for multiple modalities and topic areas, and aren’t specialized in only one focus area like technical training.
Nice-to-Haves
- Credentialed. Relevant certifications in instructional design (e.g., CPTD, ATD) or Inclusion (e.g., Cornell’s DEI Certificate) or a Master’s degree in Instructional Design or Education.
- Industry Knowledge. Experience working in the SaaS/Software industry.
- Innovative. Experience integrating innovative learning technologies and applying new design methodologies.
Our Role
- Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
- Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
- Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
- Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech stack and hardware to do your best work.
- Support your mental and physical health. We care about our employees’ wellbeing. Our Employee Assistance Program, employee resource groups and fitness partner Peerfit have you covered.
- Cover your medicalinsurance. We have multiple plans to pick from to ensure you’ll have the coverage you (and your dependents) want, including vision, dental, fertility healthcare and family forming benefits.
- Contribute to your 401(K). Yep, that’s free money. We’ll match up to 4% of your own contribution.
