Summary
Join Williamsburg Learning as an Adventures Roaming Guide to inspire students through outdoor and leadership experiences in Colorado's beautiful landscapes. This role involves facilitating transformational learning experiences while ensuring student safety during hands-on outdoor activities.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in facilitating transformational learning experiences, guide students through outdoor activities (rock climbing, hiking, canoeing, skiing, etc.), lead discussions, manage attendance, and support Adventures Leads during 15 events per semester held on Fridays. Guides must arrive 30 minutes early, assist with cleanup, and care for equipment.
Skills & Tools: Strong mentoring abilities, excellent communication, organization skills, and current first aid & CPR certification required. Comfort with 1:1 and group discussions, ability to respond to varying group needs, and willingness to participate in required trainings.
Qualifications: Minimum 18 years old with one year post-high school education required. Outdoor and leadership experience preferred; willingness to attend all online and in-person trainings mandatory.
Location: Hybrid in Denver, Lakewood, & Aurora, Colorado; activities primarily held on Fridays in the Denver area
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $25,000 – $40,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.
