Role Snapshot
Join Reading Partners as a full-time AmeriCorps member in Los Angeles to empower young readers through individualized literacy interventions and community engagement from January to June 2026, completing a service term of 900+ hours.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct literacy interventions with students and engage with the community to promote reading programs while supporting students in achieving grade-level reading proficiency by fourth grade.
Skills & Tools: Strong attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities, proficiency with technology systems (Salesforce, Google Apps, Zoom), and capacity to work both collaboratively in teams and independently.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; US citizenship or permanent resident status; at least 18 years old at service start. Preference for candidates with prior national service experience or volunteer history in community-based or education programs.
Location: Los Angeles, California
Compensation: From $15K/yr
