AI-Enabled .NET Chief Architect responsible for driving technical strategy and product architecture at Sparkrock, a 100% remote organization serving nonprofits, school boards, and government agencies. The role involves leading platform development, mentoring developers, and leveraging AI-assisted coding tools to deliver enterprise SaaS solutions.

Key Responsibilities: Evaluate technical designs against product standards, define coding standards and conduct code reviews, code complex solutions and prototypes using AI-assisted tools, mentor developers, and act as the platform technical expert across departments. Responsibilities also include managing the product release process, documenting application architecture, and solving complex technical problems.
Skills & Tools: Expert-level .NET development with strong full-stack capabilities, hands-on experience with AI-assisted/agentic coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor), and proficiency in unit/integration testing, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized applications. Must demonstrate strong English communication, a quality mindset, ability to interact with senior management, and proven capability in creating and managing product-driven standards.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science or relevant field with 10+ years of .NET development experience, 5+ years in full-stack development, and 5+ years on enterprise SaaS development teams. Must have hands-on experience with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipeline management, and containerized applications.

We are looking for a passionate .NET Chief Architect to drive our product forward and help deliver highly valuable, safe, and secure software to our customers. You will be a key member of our Platform Development team, responsible for technical and architectural specifications, creating and maintaining code-review guidelines, and coding prototypes and complex requirements, increasingly by directing AI/agentic coding tools. You will work closely with the platform developers to mentor and provide feedback in accordance with Sparkrock product standards, and act as the product technical expert across departments. If you are a highly motivated individual passionate about building a top-tier product, then this is the place for you.   Responsibilities *Evaluate technical designs to ensure they fit product standards. *Evaluate and suggest new technologies and platforms for the product. *Define technical and coding standards; define and participate in code reviews. *Code complex solutions and prototypes *Use AI-assisted / agentic coding tools in day-to-day development. *Define and manage the product release process; document application architecture. *Deliver deep dives to solve complex problems; develop and execute ITDs. *Mentor and educate developers; interact with other teams as the platform technical expert.   Requirements *Diploma in Computer Science or a relevant field. *10+ years of experience in .NET development. *5+ years of experience in full-stack development. *5+ years on an enterprise SaaS development team. *Hands-on use of AI-assisted / agentic coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent) in real day-to-day development. *Hands-on experience implementing unit/integration tests in both backend and frontend. *Hands-on CI/CD pipeline setup and management. *Hands-on experience with containerized applications. *Proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management. *Proven track record in creating and managing strong product-driven standards. *Strong English communications (oral and written); quality mindset and detail-oriented.   Nice to have *Agentic / multi-agent workflows (directing dev/test/review agents). *DevOps experience *Experience with ERP product development. *Heavy T-SQL / legacy VB6 modernization. *Post-secondary degree or diploma in a technology-related field; previous remote-job experience.   Benefits We don't call them perks; they're just part of what makes working at Sparkrock great. *We are 100% remote and global.
