Role Snapshot
Senior Software Engineer on Grammarly's Data Platform team responsible for architecting and building scalable systems that process 60-70 billion daily events while ensuring data security, availability, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities: Design and implement large-scale data pipelines, data lakes, and real-time ETL systems; ensure data security and availability; mentor engineering teams; and collaborate with cross-functional groups to drive business initiatives.
Skills & Tools: Expertise in distributed computing, SQL, data engineering tools (Spark, Kafka), data modeling, governance, and orchestration tools; strong strategic mindset for technical decision-making and ability to mentor others.
Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of experience in distributed computing and data engineering; proven capabilities managing high-load data environments and architecting complex software systems.
Location: New York City, New York
Compensation: $225K–$275K/yr
