Summary
Staff Machine Learning Engineer at BetterUp designing state-of-the-art generative AI coaching systems and mentoring engineers to advance the future of AI-powered coaching.
Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver innovative generative AI systems for coaching products, mentor engineers across all levels through technical guidance and code reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into technical strategy and product roadmaps.
Skills & Tools: Expertise in machine learning with deep experience in large language models (LLMs), strong software engineering capabilities, and ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications: 7+ years as a machine learning engineer with at least 3 years in product development related to LLMs, and a background in AI research or applied ML/AI.
Location: Hybrid in Austin, Texas, United States (minimum 2 days per week on-site or 8 days per month; other US hubs available: NYC, San Francisco, Arlington VA)
Compensation: $205,200 – $282,150/year
