What We Seek
The Academic Partnerships Solutions Manager ensures that partnership needs are clearly captured, organized, and translated into high-quality, compliant, and compelling pre-sales outputs. This role serves as the operational hub for RFPs, state adoption opportunities, and complex partner inquiries—owning the intake, synthesis, coordination, and submission of pre-sales work.
By combining strong operational judgment with the effective use of AI-enabled tools, this role drives structure, visibility, and consistency across the pre-sales lifecycle. The Pre-Sales Operations Manager ensures that district needs are accurately understood, responses are strategically aligned, and final deliverables reflect Carnegie Learning’s quality standards, brand voice, and instructional expertise.
What Your Day Will Look Like
Support and coordinate structured intake of partnership needs, RFP requirements, and district priorities across teams, translating complex inputs into clear, actionable pre-sales plans Coordinate cross-functional contributions from Proposal Writers, Content Specialists, State Adoptions, Sales, and Product teams Leverage AI-enabled tools to support drafting, alignment, version control, and quality assurance, while applying professional judgment to ensure accuracy, compliance, and narrative strength Coordinate cross-functional input from Proposal Writers, Content Specialists, and the State Adoptions team to deliver high-quality, brand-aligned proposals Maintain centralized pre-sales infrastructure, including templates, documentation, tracking systems, and intake processes Ensure all partnership opportunities receive timely, accurate, compliant, and professional responses Track timelines and deliverables, proactively following up to ensure deadlines are met Drive operational efficiency and visibility through standardized processes and centralized intake Document best practices and lessons learned to continuously improve RFP and pre-sales execution During periods of high demand or time-sensitive opportunity volume, contribute directly to proposal development, including drafting sections, supporting RFP responses, and assisting with detailed alignment work; to ensure continuity, quality, and on-time delivery.

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience 5–8+ years of experience in pre-sales operations, sales operations, project management, or complex cross-functional roles Demonstrated success organizing ambiguous, high-volume, or complex inputs into clear, high-quality deliverables Proven experience using AI-enabled tools as a collaborative part of professional workflows (e.g., synthesizing inputs, drafting and refining content, aligning responses to requirements, supporting quality review), with sound judgment around accuracy, compliance, and final output Strong product fluency, with the ability to understand, compare, and clearly articulate product capabilities, use cases, and differentiators in support of pre-sales work Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical, instructional, and operational information for diverse internal audiences High comfort level partnering across Sales, Product, Content, State Adoptions, Marketing, and Operations teams to drive alignment and shared ownership Strong organizational and project management skills, with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through Experience building, maintaining, and improving intake processes, templates, prompts, tracking tools, and documentation repositories Ability to balance speed, quality, and compliance in deadline-driven environments
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Experience supporting RFPs, proposals, or state adoption processes, preferably in education or another regulated environment Strong product experience, with the ability to understand, compare, and communicate product capabilities, instructional models, and implementation considerations in support of pre-sales work Process-oriented mindset with the ability to identify gaps and implement scalable, tech-enabled improvements Proficiency with Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, project management tools, and document management systems
