Role Snapshot
Lead small to mid-size assessment research projects at WestEd's Assessment Research & Innovation team, managing budgets of $100-$500K while delivering high-quality educational measurement solutions. Combine advanced psychometric expertise with strong leadership and client management to build WestEd's reputation in educational assessment.
Key Responsibilities: Manage project budgets, timelines, and research teams independently while applying advanced psychometric methods (CTT and IRT) to complex assessment challenges. Oversee project delivery from design through quality assurance, engage with clients on measurement issues, and contribute to proposal development.
Skills & Tools: Advanced expertise in educational measurement, psychometrics, and statistical analysis using SAS or R; strong leadership, client management, and communication skills with ability to advise on complex measurement solutions.
Qualifications: Master's or doctoral degree in educational measurement or related field with minimum three years of applied assessment research and project management experience.
Location: San Francisco, California
Compensation: $105K–$164K/yr
