Summary

The Training Coordinator owns and executes comprehensive training programs across Manufacturing, Safety, Quality, and Warehousing to ensure employee compliance and operational excellence. This role is critical to maintaining a skilled, qualified workforce and supporting continuous improvement as processes and equipment evolve.

Skills & Tools: Strong instructional design and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical and compliance concepts. Proficiency in training documentation, program coordination, and the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in instructional design, HR, or related field preferred. 2-3 years of training coordination, manufacturing training, or related experience in a production environment.
Location: Mauldin, Greenville County, South Carolina
Compensation: Estimated: $42,000 – $56,000/year based on training coordinator role, manufacturing industry, and South Carolina market rates

Job Description

EPC Power is seeking a Training Coordinator to own and execute training programs for Manufacturing, Safety, Quality, and Warehousing . This role is critical to ensuring employees are trained, qualified, and compliant with work instructions, safety requirements, and quality standards.

The Training Coordinator partners closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, and HR to ensure assembler training is structured, documented, and continuously improved as products, processes, and equipment evolve.


Key Responsibilities


Manufacturing, Safety, Quality, and Warehousing Training

  • Coordinate and deliver onboarding and ongoing training for EPC employees including:
    • Assembly work instructions
    • Product-specific training
    • Tooling and equipment usage
    • Safety and EHS requirements
  • Maintain and administer assembler training plans tied to job requirements and skill progression.
  • Schedule and track hands-on, classroom, and on-the-floor training sessions in coordination with Manufacturing leadership.
  • Support cross-training initiatives to increase flexibility and coverage within manufacturing teams.

Training Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate training records, qualification matrices, and completion documentation.
  • Ensure training documentation aligns with:
    • Work instructions
    • Quality requirements
    • Safety and compliance standards
  • Support audits and internal reviews by providing training records and evidence of compliance.
  • Partner with HR to ensure training completion is properly documented in systems of record.

Work Instruction & Process Support

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to:
    • Roll out new or revised work instructions
    • Support training related to process changes, product updates, or corrective actions
  • Assist in developing training materials such as:
    • Standard work guides
    • Visual aids
    • Training checklists and sign-offs

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify training gaps and opportunities based on quality data, rework trends, and feedback from supervisors and assemblers.
  • Recommend improvements to training structure, delivery methods, and materials.
  • Support initiatives related to 5S, safety, and quality culture through targeted training efforts.
Requirements

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in training coordination, manufacturing support, or a similar role in a production environment.
  • Experience working with hourly manufacturing or assembly teams.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical and procedural information to a hands-on workforce.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Ability to work on the manufacturing floor and follow all safety requirements.

Preferred

  • Experience in electronics, power electronics, or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with work instructions, SOPs, or standard work documentation.
  • Experience supporting training compliance or audit readiness.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
