Description Position Summary: Husky Health Center at the University of Washington, has an outstanding opportunity for a Business Intelligence Developer to join our team.

About this Opportunity: Reporting to the Assistant Director for Health Informatics & Data Strategy, this position will be responsible for writing and automating reports, developing dashboards, designing and administering surveys, conducting internal assessments and related activities. This position will contribute to related efforts across the UW Division of Student Life and exercise significant ownership and control over its work products and will serve as a subject matter expert and consultant to non-technical colleagues with custom data reporting requirements. This is a 100% FTE onsite position Salary range - $6,667 – $8,333 per month

Key Responsibilities: Report and Dashboard Development and Automation (50%) Design, build, iterate, and automate operational and clinical reports and dashboards using Epic, Power BI, and related data sources and tools Proactively engage with subject matter experts across a variety of units within the Husky Health Center and broader Student Life Division to understand individual needs and responsively develop solutions Convert manual/ad hoc extracts into automated, reliable, schedule-driven, version-controlled BI assets (including parameterized and self-service reports) Develop interactive dashboards in Power BI (or other approved platforms) that translate complex utilization, productivity, patient volume, and financial metrics into actionable views for non-technical stakeholders Apply best practices for user interface design, readability, and accessibility Respond to and appropriately triage requests for ad hoc reports Write and maintain thorough technical documentation and non-technical end-user job aids for all data products Implement automated data validation procedures and quality monitoring mechanisms Survey & Assessment (35%) Design and administer internal assessment surveys supporting operational and strategic goals, to inform needs assessments, evaluate experiences, and more Apply best practices, ensure methodological rigor, data integrity, and data privacy Build survey data ingestion and normalization workflows

  • integrate survey outcomes into broader BI reporting footprints Produce presentations, summaries and reports for a variety of audiences Perform statistical analyses to determine the significance of data outputs and identify themes, trends, or other inferential and descriptive summaries for leadership Identify and apply key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to strategic requests for data, specifically those pertaining to student success, population health and health outcomes, and operational measures of impact within Husky Health Center and partner units in Student Life Strategic & Stakeholder Collaboration (15%) Meet regularly with Husky Health Center and Student Life leaders to refine requirements, prototype solutions, and align deliverables with strategic objectives Translate business questions into measurable KPIs

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Health Information Management, Industrial Engineering; or Business Administration, Public Health, or Health Administration with quantitative/analytics focus Two (2) years' experience designing and managing BI dashboards Applicants who do not meet these qualifications WILL NOT be forwarded to the

Hiring Manager Additional Qualifications: Experience designing and/or administering surveys, including experience with tools such as Qualtrics or Microsoft Forms Ability to accomplish all primary job functions without reliance on artificial intelligence tools, including successful completion of a proctored technical assessment as part of the hiring process Applicants will be asked to present a relevant Business Intelligence deliverable or data product from their personal portfolio or previous experience

Desirable Qualifications: Master’s degree in a listed or related field Two (2) years of professional experience in a related field Applied statistical analysis experience in healthcare, higher education, public health, or related fields Experience with and knowledge of Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes Demonstrable experience with using scripting/programming languages in task automation and/or data pipelines Ability to effectively utilize artificial intelligence tools to enhance quality and efficiency Experience with

Epic and Workday data Typical Working Conditions: Husky Health staff members are considered essential employees and are expected to report to work during UW closures for severe weather, natural disasters, or other emergency conditions.

Work hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Work location: Seattle

Campus Telecommute: This is a 100% onsite position. However, at the discretion of the employer, a hybrid telework arrangement may be approved for up to two remote workdays per week

About Husky Health: Husky Health Center, on the UW Seattle Campus in the Division of Student Life, is an AAAHC-accredited outpatient facility providing high quality health care to a primarily young adult population. As a student-focused clinical unit within the Division of Student Life, we are committed to supporting the health, well-being, and success of UW’s student population. We provide comprehensive, full-spectrum primary and preventive care in over 40,000 patient encounters annually.
