Sr Designer role at Macmillan Children's Publishing Group responsible for creating visually compelling book designs across multiple children's imprints. Position involves managing all stages of book packaging and collaborating with editorial teams to deliver high-quality publications.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, expert-level color theory and design fundamentals, exceptional typographic skills, and thorough understanding of book production and printing processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to receive feedback and collaborate effectively with team members.
Qualifications: Minimum 4-6 years of bookmaking experience, ideally in children's publishing, with a degree in graphic design or related field (or equivalent work experience). Impressive portfolio demonstrating strong design expertise in children's publishing and knowledge of the children's book marketplace.
Location: United States (no travel required)
Compensation: $70,000 – $85,000 / annually
