The Preschool Enrollment Assistant (ERSEA Assistant)is responsible for recruiting and intake of eligible children and families for Head Start including processing OFAs (Online Family Applications), family intakes and assisting parents in completing applications. Ensure applications are complete and data is accurately entered into the Shine Insight database.

What You’ll Do:

- Provides information to interested families regarding eligibility, recruitment, enrollment, wait list status, and selection criteria.

- Conducts the outreach and recruitment efforts of Head Start which includes discussing program options and services provided with potential clients, completion of intakes and preparing families for entrance into the program.

- Completes intake process with families to ensure all required documents are submitted for the application/ enrollment process.

- Obtains family records including proof of income, evidence of physical, TB shots, emergency contacts, list of approved individuals for child pick-up, among other, to complete children’s files and processes documentation using Shine.

- Ensures compliance with the federal guidelines.

- Maintains narrative and statistical records on individual contacts with children and families, including enrollment records, and other family information.

- Enters data including enrollment, income, among other information into the data system.

- Maintains enrollment forms, ensuring information is accurate, current, and correct and disseminated to all necessary staff to meet program requirements.

- Maintains the agency’s waiting list.

- Prepares reports as needed on enrollment of children.

- Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required.

What You’ll Bring:

1. A high school diploma or GED required.

2. One (1) year related experience in a non-profit organization preferred.

3. Experience working with low-income families preferred.

4. Bilingual English/Spanish required.

5. Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
