Senior Accountant at Gravyty, a SaaS company serving nonprofits and educational institutions, will play a key role in month-end close processes, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Key Responsibilities: Manage month-end and year-end close processes, prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, analyze financial data, maintain accounting processes and controls, and support cross-functional teams with billing, AP, AR, and audit-related activities. Optimize workflows within NetSuite and contribute to special projects and process improvements.
Skills & Tools: Strong reconciliation and general ledger experience, advanced Excel skills, technical accounting proficiency, and experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and Airbase systems. Proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, with excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication abilities.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with minimum 5 years of accounting experience required; SaaS industry experience strongly preferred and CPA preferred but not required. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving problems, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats across the accounting and finance function.


Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the month-end close process, reconciliations, financial reporting support, and ongoing process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and excited to contribute within a fast-paced SaaS environment.

The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, exceptional reconciliation experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy
  • Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies or variances
  • Maintain and improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation
  • Support accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other general ledger activities
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams including FP&A, Revenue Operations, and Payroll
  • Assist with audit requests and external reporting requirements
  • Support billing, AP, AR, and other operational accounting activities as needed
  • Help optimize workflows and reporting within NetSuite and related systems
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives in a growing SaaS environment


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience required
  • SaaS industry experience strongly preferred
  • CPA preferred, but not required
  • Strong reconciliation and general ledger experience required
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred


Systems Experience

Experience with the following systems is strongly preferred:

  • NetSuite
  • Salesforce
  • Airbase
