Role Snapshot
Machine Learning Resident position at My Viva focused on developing generative AI and NLP applications for healthcare, including RAG systems and chatbots. This 3-month paid residency offers mentorship from experienced AI scientists with potential for extension or permanent hire.
Key Responsibilities: Perform exploratory data analysis, develop Retrieval-Augmented-Generation (RAG) applications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on MVP solutions for healthcare products. Report to an Amii Scientist while engaging in knowledge transfer activities with partners.
Skills & Tools: Required expertise in machine learning, NLP, open-source LLMs, Python, ML frameworks, Linux, and Git. Preferred skills include full-stack development experience and familiarity with healthcare applications of generative AI.
Qualifications: Graduate degree in Computing Science or related field is preferred. Publication record in relevant academic conferences and practical experience with AI/ML projects is valued.
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Compensation: CA$25–CA$45/hr
