Role Snapshot
Join Tutor Me Education as a Special Education Tutor providing one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes, developing IEP-aligned lesson plans and fostering supportive learning environments.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions, develop customized lesson plans aligned with students' IEPs, monitor and document progress, and communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and special education teams.
Skills & Tools: Strong subject knowledge in core academics (English and Math), exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency with special education instructional strategies, and ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field with teaching/tutoring experience preferred; experience working with students with IEPs and/or learning disabilities required.
Location: Portland, Oregon
Compensation: $40/hr
