Summary

Virtual Physics Educator role guiding high school students through physics curriculum in a fully remote position for a California-based school district. This contract position impacts students across the U.S. through live-streamed instruction from a certified educator.

Key Responsibilities: Teach 5 sections of high school physics (3 general, 2 honors) to mostly 11th graders, manage classroom engagement on the district virtual platform, record student progress, create aligned lesson plans, and attend district professional development and faculty meetings. Partner with in-class facilitators and maintain student grades and performance records.
Skills & Tools: California Physics certification with ELA1 authorization, classroom teaching experience, effective communication skills, and familiarity with virtual learning environments. Proficiency with computer technology including laptop/desktop, webcam, and headset is required.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and minimum 1 year of professional teaching experience required. Prior online teaching experience is preferred.
Location: California
Compensation: $265–$275/hr
