Join us as a Virtual Physics Educator, guiding high school students through their physics curriculum in a fully remote role. This is a contract position ideal for a passionate educator with a California certification, looking to impact students' lives across the U.S.

Responsibilities: Teach High School Physics to 11th graders, manage classroom engagement, record student progress, attend district meetings, and create lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.

Skills: CA Physics certification with ELA1 authorization, experience in classroom teaching, effective communication skills, and familiarity with virtual learning environments.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 1 year of professional teaching experience. Prior online teaching experience is a plus.

Location: Fully remote; must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation: $265 - $275 / Hourly

$265- $275; rates are negotiable and subject to change.

Tentative start date 8/5/2025. The assignment will last until 6/4/2026.

Block schedule: 8:30am- 3:45pm PST (except Wednesdays: 8:30am- 4:30pm PST); Monday through Friday

Teaching 5 sections of High School Physics (3 general, 2 honors) mostly 11th graders.

Teach the curriculum of the school on district virtual platform, attend district PD + faculty meetings, record student progress, and partner with an in-class facilitator who is physically in class with students.

LiveScan Fingerprinting will be required, and must live near a LiveScan location or be willing to drive to one.

• Create strategies to engage and nurture student learning and student relationships
• Create lesson plans aligned with the class curriculum
• Keep track of student grades and performance
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and have a current CA - Physics certification with ELA1 authorization.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a professional educator.
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university.
• Laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet access.
• Participate in a virtual skills teaching demonstration + submit a background check as part of the application process.
• Prior online teaching experience is a plus!
