Role Snapshot
Tutor Me Education seeks an in-person Reading Specialist to provide 1:1 instruction to students in Corona, CA using evidence-based literacy methods. The role focuses on creating engaging, student-driven learning experiences for students with reading difficulties and learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities: Provide personalized tutoring sessions (2+ hours per session) on Fridays at 3:00pm and weekends at 9am, create engaging lesson plans aligned with student objectives, and deliver interactive instruction focused on student questions and learning needs.
Skills & Tools: Orton-Gillingham or Lindamood-Bell certification (required), expertise in special education and learning disabilities accommodations, and ability to create interactive, engaging learning experiences that adapt to student needs.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree minimum; Orton-Gillingham or Lindamood-Bell certification required; previous tutoring/teaching experience and special education experience highly preferred; must pass background check.
Location: Corona, California
Compensation: $30–$70/hr
