Key Responsibilities: Design and architect complex electronic systems, manage requirements and specifications, oversee hardware-software-mechanical integration and system validation/verification testing. Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage technical risks and issues, create engineering documentation, and track project progress against goals.
Skills & Tools: Deep expertise in electronic systems design (analog/digital circuits, embedded systems, signal processing, power management), system integration and testing, product regulatory compliance (FCC, HDMI, USB). Strong cross-functional team leadership, project management, analytical problem-solving, and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field with 7-10 years of systems engineering experience in electronics product development, ideally with consumer electronics or display systems background. Proven track record leading complex projects from concept to production with proficiency in development tools such as Azure DevOps and Oracle Agile.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our Product Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development, and integration of complex electronic systems for our cutting-edge products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, and mechanical engineers, to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

System Design & Architecture: Lead the system-level design and architecture of electronic products, including defining system requirements, creating block diagrams, and specifying interfaces between components.
Requirements Management: Gather, analyze, and translate customer and stakeholder requirements into technical specifications and system-level requirements. Direct design changes through the required approval processes, ensuring all stakeholder impacts are considered.
Integration & Testing: Oversee the integration of hardware, software, and mechanical components, ensuring system-level functionality and performance. Develop and execute system validation and verification plans.
Project Management: Coordinate with project managers to ensure alignment with overall project goals. Track and report the state of progress on system design, including bug reports and requirements compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other engineering teams, product management, and manufacturing partners to ensure successful product development and launch.
Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the product development lifecycle. Lead team members to efficient resolution of complex technical issues.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including system design documents, test plans, and reports. Promote best practices in systems engineering and product development.
Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends. Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve product performance and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in systems engineering, or similar role, with a focus on electronics product development. Experience in leading complex projects from concept to production. Consumer electronics, or display systems knowledge preferred.
Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of electronic systems design, including analog and digital circuit design, embedded systems, signal processing, and power management.
Broad technical knowledge in a variety of disciplines, including Electrical Engineering, Firmware Development, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing Test, and Software Development.
Experience with system integration, testing, and debugging.
Knowledge of product regulatory standards and compliance (e.g. FCC, HDMI, USB).
Familiarity with development tools such as Azure DevOps, Oracle Agile, Confluence preferred

Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and manage technical projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovative solutions and continuous improvement.
High level of organization and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality products.

Additional Details:

Office-based role
International travel will be required on occasion to support the manufacturing or testing of prototype designs.
