Skills & Tools: Advanced proficiency in US GAAP, GASB, General Ledger applications, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex affiliate relationships and financial systems.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field with 5+ years of accounting department experience demonstrating familiarity with accounting workflows and functions. High-level knowledge of US GAAP, GASB, and advanced skills in General Ledger and supporting software.

Job Description UW Medicine Accounting and Financial Reporting has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst. WORK SCHEDULE Full Time Hybrid Monday - Friday DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will lead complex financial reporting, accounting, and process improvement initiatives across the health system. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing internal, external, and consolidated financial reports for UW Medicine Select Units and Harborview Medical Center, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal policies. Key responsibilities include month end accounting entries including joint venture accounting, state appropriation and lease accounting, as well as supporting month-end close activities and audit processes. As a member of the Accounting Team, the analyst collaborates closely with UW Medicine and entity leadership to deliver timely, relevant financial insights that support strategic decision-making. The position plays a critical role in evolving financial systems and reporting standards to meet the demands of a rapidly changing healthcare environment. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex affiliate relationships and financial systems with minimal disruption to operations. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Lead Financial Reporting & Certain Month-End

Close Activities: Oversees complex reporting tasks and accounting for state appropriations and leases.

Collaborative Financial Analysis & Reporting: Partners closely with UW Medicine and entity leadership to deliver timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant financial reports.

Strategic Process Improvement & Systems Integration: Plays a key role in evolving financial systems and processes to support UW Medicine’s strategic initiatives and respond to industry changes. Benefits and Position Details Pay Range Minimum: $77,616.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum: $116,424.00 annual
