As a Senior Product Data Analyst at Western Governors University, you will be the sole analytics partner embedded within a product team, owning the complete lifecycle of product data and directly influencing product decisions that improve student outcomes through actionable insights.

Skills & Tools: Proficiency with analytics platforms such as Pendo, Adobe Analytics, CJA, and Google Analytics; hands-on expertise with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI; strong ability to translate business questions into data requirements and insights; and excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, marketing, business, or related field with 5+ years of experience in product or data analytics within mid-sized or enterprise environments; demonstrated experience implementing instrumentation and telemetry, not just consuming reports.

Range: $91,000.00 - $136,400.00 Job Description As a Senior Product Data Analyst, you will serve as the sole analytics partner embedded within a product team, owning the full lifecycle of product data from instrumentation through insights. You will directly influence product decisions and student outcomes by translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive measurable impact. What You’ll Do Own end-to-end product analytics, including instrumentation, telemetry setup, data validation, and reporting Partner closely with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to define metrics, success criteria, and experimentation frameworks Design and implement tracking strategies using tools such as Pendo, Adobe Analytics, CJA, Google Analytics, or comparable platforms Build and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions using BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI to inform decision-making Translate business questions into data requirements, analyses, and insights that guide product roadmap and strategy Proactively identify gaps in data, access, or visibility and broker solutions across teams without relying on escalation Lead analysis across the full product development lifecycle, from problem definition through design, release, and post-launch measurement What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, business, or a related field 5+ years of experience in product or data analytics within mid-sized or enterprise environments Experience implementing instrumentation and telemetry, not just consuming reports Hands-on experience with multiple analytics tools such as Pendo, Adobe Analytics, CJA, Google Analytics, or similar Proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI and advanced Excel capabilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of ownership and accountability Ability to work independently in a team-of-one environment while proactively collaborating across teams Bonus Points Experience working in fintech, healthcare technology, or similarly complex, regulated industries Demonstrated ability to support cross-functional data access and decision-making without formal authority Experience supporting product teams through full SDLC cycles with measurable outcomes What to Expect At WGU, our mission drives everything we do, including how we hire.
