Our engineers, product leaders, and go-to-market teams work closely together — in person and across functions — to build systems that scale in the real world. If you’re excited to work on hard problems, move with urgency, raise the bar every day, and help build agentic systems that transform how the world works, Eightfold is the place to do it.

About the Role

We are looking for a Director, People Business Partner to support our Go-To-Market (GTM) and customer-focused teams globally. This leader will partner closely with senior business leaders to drive performance, leadership capability, and organizational effectiveness in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

This is a strategic and deeply hands-on role. You will influence strategy, own execution, and personally lead through complexity. As Eightfold scales, this role will help ensure our GTM teams operate with clarity, accountability, and speed—while modeling what modern, AI-powered People leadership looks like in practice.

What You’ll Do

Strategic People Partnership

Act as a trusted advisor to senior GTM executives on org design, talent strategy, leadership effectiveness, and global scale

Translate business priorities into clear people strategies that drive revenue impact, execution velocity, and customer outcomes

Bring a strong point of view while balancing empathy, rigor, and speed

Performance, Talent & Leadership

Own end-to-end performance management for GTM and customer-focused teams, including goal clarity, feedback, differentiation, and accountability

Coach senior leaders and managers through complex talent decisions, including performance management, succession, and transitions

Partner on career frameworks, leveling, and leadership development to support growth at scale

Hands-On Execution

Personally handle complex employee relations matters with sound judgment, discretion, and urgency

Lead compensation planning cycles, promotions, and talent reviews in close partnership with Finance and Rewards

Drive change management during periods of growth, re-organization, or shifts in business strategy

AI-Native & Product-Connected

Leverage Eightfold’s own Talent Intelligence platform to “dogfood” internally and model best-in-class People practices

Partner closely with product and business leaders to bring real-world People insights that help shape and refine the Eightfold product

Engage directly with customers and external stakeholders as a People leader who understands the product, the market, and GTM realities

Data-Driven Leadership

Use people data and insights to diagnose issues, spot trends, and influence business decisions

Balance qualitative judgment with quantitative rigor to drive better outcomes

Champion the One People Team Approach:

Act as a key collaborator and contributor within the global People organization, ensuring functional consistency, sharing best practices from the high-velocity Go-To-Market (GTM) perspective, and actively supporting critical cross-functional People projects (e.g., HRIS implementation, global policy rollouts).

What Makes This Role Different

You work inside an AI-native HR tech company, shaping how People practices are built, applied, and experienced

You help influence the product itself by bringing frontline People and GTM insights into how Eightfold evolves

You gain exposure to customers and the market, not just internal stakeholders

You actively dogfood the platform, using Talent Intelligence to guide real decisions

You operate at the intersection of People, product, and revenue, not in a silo

What We’re Looking For

8–12+ years of progressive HR / People Business Partner experience in high-growth tech companies, with a strong preference for AI-focused, SaaS environments

Direct experience supporting Sales, GTM and Customer Facing organizations is required, including comfort operating in revenue-driven, high-accountability environments

Strong business acumen with the ability to understand GTM mechanics, customer dynamics, and financial trade-offs

Deep, hands-on expertise in performance management, leadership development, org design, and employee relations

Proven ability to operate strategically while remaining execution-oriented and decisive

Comfort working in ambiguity, moving fast, and leading through change
