Summary
Privacy and Compliance Program Manager at Handshake responsible for leading the development, operationalization, and scaling of the company's global privacy and data protection program. The role ensures regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions while maintaining user trust and supporting business innovation.
Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end privacy programs for regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD), conduct privacy and data protection impact assessments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate privacy risks. Support vendor privacy reviews, data subject rights requests, cookie compliance, and contribute to the company's broader compliance and AI governance initiatives.
Skills & Tools: Proven project management and strong communication and analytical skills with deep expertise in privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD). Ability to collaborate effectively across product, security, and legal teams, with preferred experience in AI governance and vendor risk management.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in privacy program management, preferably in tech or regulated industries. Familiarity with AI governance and complex regulatory environments is preferred.
Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, California, United States
Compensation: $148,000 – $185,000/year
