Role Snapshot
Machine Learning Resident at Blue Raven, a well-funded Canadian fintech startup, developing advanced AI-driven fraud detection systems that process real-time audio and text with mentorship from experienced researchers over a 12-month paid residency.
Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and optimize machine learning models for fraud detection, prepare and label datasets, and conduct applied research to improve model performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams on transitioning from proof-of-concept to scaled product development.
Skills & Tools: Strong background in machine learning with proficiency in Python and ML frameworks; experience in audio/speech processing and familiarity with statistical methods and software engineering practices are preferred.
Qualifications: Completion of a related graduate degree (MSc or PhD) in AI, fraud detection, audio processing, or related fields; demonstrated experience in machine learning applications and real-time systems is expected.
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Compensation: CA$70K–CA$90K/yr
