Full Charge Bookkeeper responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and financial operations at Inspira Education, a fast-growing edtech startup. The role requires high autonomy and integrity in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities: Process and record all financial transactions, manage accounts payable and receivable, perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, send invoices and follow up on payments, and maintain the general ledger with accurate coding. Support the Finance Manager through the full accounting cycle and implement internal financial controls and procedures.
Skills & Tools: Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Stripe, ADP, Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles. Ability to create financial dashboards, manage confidential information with discretion, and work autonomously with high attention to detail.
Qualifications: 2+ years of proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar comprehensive accounting role with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and ability to support multi-entity accounting operations.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day accounting and financial operations for Inspira Education Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing all financial transactions, managing accounts payable, and sending invoices/contracts. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, integrity, and a strong understanding of accounting principles.

What You'll Do

Daily & Monthly Accounting Operations:

  • Support the Finance Manager with the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Process and record all financial transactions accurately and in a timely.
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations monthly.
  • Send invoices and contracts promptly to customers.
  • Follow up on late invoices.
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and coded correctly.

Other Duties:

  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven experience (typically 2+ years) working as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar comprehensive accounting role.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (GAAP).
  • Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Stripe, and ADP.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Experience in creating dashboards and board presentations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Certification, such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB,) or experience working toward a CPA designation.
  • QBO Certification
  • Bill.com Certification
  • Experience with Hubspot CRM

The targeted salary for this role is: $50,000 - 60,000. Actual salary is dependent upon several factors, including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive will be finalized at the offer. The pay range is subject to the discretion of the Company.
