Job Title Salesforce Engineer II (Hybrid) Job Description About the Role The Salesforce Engineer II will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing Salesforce solutions that support Kaplan Singapore’s Student Journey operations. This role requires strong expertise in Salesforce Education Cloud or the Education Data Architecture (EDA), along with solid hands-on experience in Apex, LWC components, platform events, and external integrations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, vendor partners, and other engineering teams to implement enhancements, ensure system scalability, and deliver innovative solutions that align with business goals. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance Salesforce Education Cloud solutions that align with business and academic processes. Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), flows, and platform events. Collaborate with external vendors to review, develop, and deploy enhancements while maintaining code quality and compliance with Kaplan’s standards. Integrate Salesforce with external systems using APIs, MuleSoft, or custom connectors. Support the setup and maintenance of Salesforce data backup, data masking, and security solutions. Work closely with the Business Applications team and other developers to plan and deliver roadmap features and system improvements. Perform system troubleshooting, issue resolution, and performance optimization. Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and release management activities. Stay informed about Salesforce releases, Education Cloud updates, and AI innovations applicable to Salesforce or the wider technology ecosystem. Contribute to exploring and implementing AI-driven solutions (inside or outside Salesforce) that enhance student engagement, automation, and analytics. Required Skills & Experience 3-5 years of Salesforce development experience, preferably within the Salesforce. Proven experience in Salesforce Education Cloud and solid understanding of the Higher Education Data Architecture (HEDA). Strong technical skills in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, and Flows. Hands-on experience with Platform Events, Asynchronous Apex, and External Integrations. Familiarity with Salesforce data backup, and data masking tools. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — able to work effectively with vendors and internal teams. Keen interest in continuous learning, innovation, and emerging technologies, especially AI and automation tools. Preferred / Advantageous Skills Exposure to Salesforce Marketing Cloud (e.g., Journey Builder, Contact Builder, or Data Extensions). Familiarity with Agentforce or other Salesforce AI capabilities. Experience or interest in AI-based tools or solutions outside the Salesforce ecosystem (e.g., machine learning APIs, data-driven chatbots, or predictive analytics). Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools such as Copado, Gearset, or Jenkins.
