Senior Learning Design Professional at Humana who applies instructional design expertise and adult learning theory to identify and implement solutions for knowledge gaps. Manages projects throughout their lifecycle while maintaining alignment with organizational goals and business partner needs.

Key Responsibilities: Manage moderately complex to complex learning projects from conception through completion, including performance monitoring and outcome reporting. Consult with customers to determine appropriate learning interventions, delivery methodologies, and measurement strategies while presenting to leadership.
Skills & Tools: Expert-level instructional design with proficiency in learning software (Storyline, Camtasia, Articulate 360, Vyond) and ability to create diverse content types (CBTs, facilitator guides, job aids, self-paced learning). Strong project management, stakeholder consultation, and presentation skills for various audiences.
Qualifications: Minimum 5+ years of instructional design and development experience with 2+ years managing projects of progressive complexity. Bachelor's degree preferred in Learning and Performance, Education, Instructional Design, or related field; healthcare/insurance industry experience is a plus.

The Senior Learning Design Professional applies expertise in instructional design, cognitive psychology, and adult learning theory to identify and implement effective solutions for knowledge or performance gaps. This role manages projects throughout the entire lifecycle, including monitoring and reporting on performance and outcomes.

The Senior Learning Design Professional maintains strong working relationships with business partners to ensure alignment with organizational goals and to address evolving training needs. Assignments typically involve moderately complex to complex issues, requiring in-depth analysis of variable factors to determine optimal approaches.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of experience managing projects of progressive complexity, with the ability to work efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • 5 or more years of instructional design and development experience including creation of CBT's, PowerPoint, Facilitator Guides, Job Aids, Self-Paced Learning.
  • Experience with one or more of the following learning software: Storyline, Camtasia, Articulate 360, and/or Vyond
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead large projects, consult with the customer, and determine the appropriate learning intervention, delivery methodology, and measurement strategy while presenting to various audiences to include Leadership

Preferred skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in one of the following areas: Learning and Performance; Education; Instructional Design; Organizational Design or Related field.
  • Work experience in a health care and / or Insurance setting
  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors.
  • Experience working in CSOD uploading content and creating Curricula and Events
  • Facilitation experience.

Additional Information

In this role you will report to an Associate Director of Learning Design.

This role is open to Applicants within the Eastern and Central time zone to support the business alignments required.

In this role you will not have any travel requirements.

Sample of work: please note if selected to move into the formal interview process a request for a sample of work to include: a training module (e.g., Storyline, RISE, Vyond), facilitator guide, job aid, or learner-facing content that reflects your design approach and how the training was measured for effectiveness will be requested.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$71,100 - $97,800 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
