Role Snapshot
Collections Specialist responsible for improving the collections process and recovering outstanding debts in a professional manner. The role focuses on reducing accounts receivable and minimizing bad debt exposure through effective collection strategies.
Key Responsibilities: Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, develop collection strategies, negotiate payment arrangements with clients, maintain accurate records of collections activities, and analyze aging reports to identify accounts requiring escalated efforts. Collaborate with internal teams and provide regular management updates on collection results.
Skills & Tools: Proven collections experience with proficiency in High Radius and NetSuite systems, strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities, knowledge of debt recovery regulations, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with proven experience in collections. Knowledge of debt recovery regulations and practices required.
Location: Markham, Ontario
Compensation: CA$45K–CA$65K/yr
