Role Snapshot

Serve as an AmeriCorps member with Reading Partners to strengthen literacy skills in the Dallas/Fort Worth community. Provide individualized reading instruction to students in schools to help them become confident, independent readers.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver one-on-one reading instruction to students, paired with volunteers and other AmeriCorps members. Support classroom literacy initiatives and help students master essential reading skills through direct, hands-on service.
Skills & Tools: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and volunteers. Ability to commit time and energy to community service and adapt instructional approaches to individual student needs.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; specific education or prior experience with literacy instruction not explicitly stated in the posting. Commitment to AmeriCorps service principles and willingness to serve in a community-based role.
