Summary

Health Coordinator at Acelero, Inc. promoting health and well-being in early childhood education through leadership, community partnerships, and integrated health strategies. The role supports children and families' school readiness and overall development in Toledo, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities: Coach and supervise Family Service and Health team members, develop community partnerships to meet children and families' health needs, and maintain quality improvement systems to ensure program strategies are executed with fidelity. Lead family engagement and wellness initiatives collaboratively with Early Learning and Mental Health staff.
Skills & Tools: Strong leadership and coaching abilities, experience in public health or related fields, and proficiency working with diverse families in low-income communities. Ability to manage teams, collect and analyze data, and represent the department at meetings and training.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education and Promotion, Family, Child Development or related field; Master's degree or R.N. preferred. 3 years of experience working with diverse families in low-income communities on health and wellness intervention and a valid driver's license required.
Location: Hybrid in Toledo, Ohio, United States of America; up to 10% travel required locally and long-distance.

Your Role:

The Health Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with the Director of Family Services and Health, Network Family Services and Health Leadership to develop, implement and refine Acelero Learning’s family engagement, health and wellness approaches in order to promote family outcomes that support children’s school readiness, health and their well-being.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coaches and provides supervisory guidance to Family Service and Health team members in order to strengthen staff capacity and move staff towards mastery in core competencies.
  • Develops community partnerships to assure that children and family’s self-sufficiency and preventive and health treatment needs are met.
  • Builds a team that works collaboratively with Early Learning (EL) and Mental Health and Disabilities (MHD) staff in order to enhance family life practices and circumstances that promote child development, health, and well-being.
  • Maintains qualitative and quantitative quality improvement and monitoring systems in order to assure that program strategies are executed with reliability, fidelity, and quality.
  • Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required.

Team Leadership

  • Leads assigned department personnel, which may include providing oversight and input into hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, as well as ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and the completion of all work performed by team members.
  • Educates team members on all department and company policies and procedures.
  • Meets with team members regularly to identify and resolve problems, manage projects, track goals, and review work processes and procedures.
  • Represents team and/or department at meetings, events, and training as needed.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education and Promotion, Family, Child Development or related field; master’s degree or R.N. preferred.
  • 3 years of experience working with diverse families in low-income communities on health and wellness intervention.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the program and community needs.
  • Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
  • Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.
