Epic Kids is looking for a proactive and resourceful Content Business Intern to support its content acquisition and production operations, focusing on contract management and financial administration.
Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include reviewing and tracking content licensing contracts, maintaining calendars for contract renewals and invoicing, submitting invoices, and generating financial analyses and reports.
Skills: Strong systems, finance, and accounting skills; proficiency in Excel; ability to build relationships across teams; strong attention to detail.
Qualifications: 2-5+ years of experience in Finance and/or Business Affairs; MBA and Mandarin speaking are a plus; experience with global teams is valuable.
Location: Remote, with a preference for candidates in the ET timezone.
Compensation: $25 - $25 / Hourly

About the Job
Epic is in an exciting phase of growth and looking for a proactive, resourceful, and diligent Business Associate to support Epic’s growing Content operation. This is an appealing role for an enthusiastic professional to play a meaningful role in Epic’s content acquisition and production. You’ll work across the Licensing and Original Content teams on contract and financial administration, helping to shape the next chapter of Epic.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review, organize and track Content licensing, contractor and vendor contracts
• Maintain a calendar for expiring and renewing contracts and communicate accordingly
• Submit all pending contracts for review and approvals on the company’s business system
• Maintain a calendar for invoicing and proactively communicate with vendors to obtain invoices in a timely and accurate manner
• Submit and process invoices, ensure accuracy of bank wire, and track payment status
• Coordinate quarterly publisher royalty reporting and payments
• Track expenditures relative to budget in partnership with Finance team
• Generate periodic financial and operational analyses via company system
• Generate periodic publishing industry related analyses and reports
• Support Content management with ad hoc tasks related to running the business
What kind of person are we looking for?
• 2–5+ years of experience in Finance and/or Business Affairs roles
• MBA is a nice to have
• Mandarin speaking is a nice to have
• Strong systems, finance, and accounting skills, particularly applying them within a database
• Can-do mindset and excited to experience new challenges
• Ability to build strong working relationships with cross-functional team members
• Skilled at toggling between details and the larger strategic vision
• High integrity and discretion with sensitive information
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Strong Excel and quantitative skills
• Experience working with global or remote teams is valuable
Compensation:$25 per hour
