Role Snapshot
Join Reading Partners as a full-time AmeriCorps member in North Charleston, SC to provide individualized literacy support and empower young readers through community engagement from January to June 2026.
Key Responsibilities: Serve full-time in-person providing literacy intervention and community engagement for 900+ hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Support students in achieving grade-level reading proficiency by fourth grade through individualized reading support.
Skills & Tools: Strong attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities, and willingness to learn technology systems like Salesforce, Google Apps, and Zoom. Ability to collaborate in team environments and work independently.
Qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18 years old, and hold US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status. Experience volunteering with community-based or education programs is a bonus.
Location: North Charleston, South Carolina
Compensation: From $12K/yr
