Scantron is seeking an Instructional Designer and LMS Administrator to create engaging educational experiences for Scantron customers worldwide. This person must be eager and willing to learn how Scantron’s iconic software products work in order to help customers maximize their investment and success with using the products. energized by quick timelines and excited to make our products come to life for end-users.
What you will be doing:
• Using ADDIE method, design engaging web-based (asynchronous) courses for adult learners.
• Manage and maintain Scantron’s learning technologies, including administration of the corporate LMS, survey tools, intranet pages, and virtual classrooms.
• Oversee LMS design and development, data governance, and the management of workflow processes for publishing content to the LMS.
• Develop technical documentation, instructional guides and manuals and job aids.
• Partner with Subject Matter Experts to identify goals, audience, and objectives.
• Translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand and easy-to-follow directions that enable end-users to accomplish their goals by using Scantron’s products
• Use strong written and visual communication skills to bring together text, images, video, and audio to communicate and educate our customers.
• Prepare, create, and/or convert various types of content for online courses including text, graphics, and rich media such as A/V and interactive media.
• Support the onboarding of other developers, administrators, and content creators.
• Create course outlines, storyboards, and scripts that meet learning objectives.
• Write task-based assessment questions that measure objectives.
• Organize course materials in a learning hierarchy enabling objectives.
• Identify content delivery strategies that provide the best learning experience.
• Collaborate to promote innovative approaches and enhance productivity.
Here is what you will need to know/have:
• Ability to quickly develop robust understanding of Scantron’s products in order to provide meaningful onboarding experiences
• Experience with e-Learning authoring tools such as Captivate, Vidyard, HubSpot LMS, or similar products
• Excellent presentation, video delivery skills
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Experience building and maintaining content management systems

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in education, Communications, Business, Engineering, Psychology or a similar technical or people-oriented field
• 3+ years of progressive experience developing video content and instructional materials, preferably in corporate environment.
• Experience with A/V design and production, podcast recording, and/or video broadcasts.
