Role Snapshot
Join Reading Partners North Texas as an AmeriCorps Member to provide individualized reading intervention support to students from January to June 2026. This full-time service role empowers young readers to achieve grade-level reading proficiency by fourth grade.
Key Responsibilities: Provide individualized reading support to students, participate in intensive training and ongoing professional development, and engage in community service activities as part of the AmeriCorps program. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, completing 900+ hours of service.
Skills & Tools: Strong attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities, proficiency with technology systems (Salesforce, Google Apps, Zoom), teamwork, and independent work capability. Openness to learning and commitment to Reading Partners' vision and values.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, and must be at least 18 years old. Experience volunteering with community-based or education programs is preferred; prior AmeriCorps or Peace Corps service is a bonus.
