Instructional Designer (100% virtual)
Overview:
We are working with our client, a newly merged cyber-security organization experiencing rapid growth and change, in finding 2-4 mid-level Instructional Designers (IDs) to maintain and enhance learning materials, including eLearning modules, PowerPoint decks, and job aids. The role emphasizes adaptability, creativity, and a strong cultural fit with a team of collaborative, performance-driven professionals. IDs will work closely with Project Managers (PMs) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to refine and develop engaging, interactive learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update existing eLearning modules, decks, and create new job aids as needed.
Collaborate with PMs and SMEs to align learning materials with performance-based objectives and assessment standards.
Incorporate creativity and “edutainment” principles to ensure engaging and enjoyable learning experiences.
Ensure a seamless cultural fit, working closely with a team that values open communication, creativity, and fun.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience Level: Mid-level Instructional Designer, skilled in developing engaging, performance-based learning content.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with PMs, SMEs, and team members, taking direction and contributing ideas.
Cultural Fit: Fun, easy-going personality capable of integrating well with the team.
Tools and Technical Skills:
Required Proficiency: Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) and Camtasia.
Project Scope and Deliverables:
Primary Deliverables: eLearning modules, PowerPoint decks, and job aids.
Content Development: Approximately 90% of content already exists; however, IDs may need to create additional job aids based on SME input and existing resources.
Content Sources: SMEs, existing documents, and templates.
Preferred Qualities:
A blend of creativity, technical skills, and experience in performance-based learning design.
A genuine enthusiasm for making learning experiences engaging, impactful, and enjoyable.

Hours: 20 to 40 hours per week (can choose between full- or part-time hours)
Location: 100% Virtual
The pay range is $55 to $60 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
