Network Navigator, Programs & Network Impact Team
About StriveTogether
StriveTogether is a national movement with a clear purpose: helping every child succeed in school and in life from cradle to career, regardless of race, ethnicity, zip code or circumstance. We work to break down barriers, change systems and improve outcomes with the Cradle to Career Network, made up of nearly 70 communities across the country. StriveTogether provides resources, best practices and processes to give every child every chance for success.
The StriveTogether team is passionate, talented and dedicated to achieving our mission. We seek and value all kinds of diversity and work hard to eliminate inequities in ourselves, our organization and our communities. Our goals are bold, so we support each other to try new things, have tough conversations and push for change. As we work, we share learning and progress, use data to make decisions and celebrate our wins.
About you
You are a champion of racial equity and committed to ensuring all children succeed regardless of race, socioeconomic status or zip code. At StriveTogether, we’re dedicated to creating equitable pathways to economic mobility. To be successful in this role, you must understand the challenges faced by marginalized communities — including, but not limited to, the intersectionality of barriers of race, ethnicity, class, ability, immigration status, and gender. You should also have a clear grasp on how systemic structures contribute to persistent disparities in outcomes which limit economic mobility for many.
You’re a connector and relationship builder who builds deep and trusting relationships with people, organizations and communities. You love to learn, and help others learn from one another to drive forward social progress. You enjoy working closely with data and people to understand what’s working, what’s not, and how to make progress towards transforming systems and outcomes. You are also tech savvy, have a strong eye for detail, and are comfortable quickly drafting presentations and jumping into facilitator and public speaker mode.
You also have a creative mind and are able to build what is needed but might not exist, and are excited to innovate and experiment routinely in their work to build, iterate and improve. This is a new role, so you’ll be working closely with another Network Navigator and the Network team to create, adjust and build a best in class support team for our Network partners.
