The Courseware Documentation and Assessment Specialist is highly self-motivated and detail-oriented. They will be responsible for overseeing the creation of high-quality eLearning assessments while helping to ensure all eLearning content adheres to the latest eLearning and accessibility standards. The role involves continuous learning and adaptation to ensure our eLearning offerings are inclusive, effective, and up-to-date. They should be highly skilled with language and visual content, as well as be able to spot errors and ensure that they get corrected.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Chief Learning Officer and SVP of Security & Compliance eLearning on the design and creation of eLearning assessments
- Manage eLearning assessment projects, determining personnel resources required, facilitating clear and continuous communication between project stakeholders, and ensuring deadlines are met
- Perform quality assurance reviews of eLearning assessments, ensuring they meet instructional objectives
- Establish and maintain detailed documentation on the processes required for creating, updating and managing eLearning assessments
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation outlining eLearning standards and best practices within the Courseware Sector, utilizing markdown and Jira
- Monitor and stay ahead of industry trends in eLearning technology, accessibility standards (such as WCAG-ADA/508), and educational assessment methodologies
- Collaborate with Snr QA Director to deliver training sessions to courseware team members about new and revised accessibility standards, ensuring the organization stays compliant and content is accessible to all learners
- Act as the primary support contact for questions and issues related to the quality assurance and accessibility of eLearning content
- Collaborate with R&D and Product to integrate standardization and accessibility into authoring tools
- Manage inventory and tracking spreadsheets, including but not limited to the Language Matrix and the KnowBe4-owned domains list
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field OR equivalent 5-year work experience
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including proper use of grammar and spelling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Highly skilled with computers and able to get around a cloud-based directory
- Able to correct others with grace while, at the same time, encouraging them to continue to reach for mastery
- Strong knowledge of current eLearning and accessibility standards
- Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools and best practices
