Envision Academy is seeking Licensed Social Emotional Counselors to support middle and high school students in Oakland, CA, fostering a safe, college-going culture and ensuring their social-emotional well-being and successful transition to careers.

Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include student academic case management, providing mental health counseling, supporting college applications, and maintaining accurate records of services while responding to crises as part of the school's Crisis Response Team.

Skills: Candidates must have a Master's degree in Counseling or a related field and one of several relevant credentials (e.g., PPS, MFT, LCSW). A strong focus on equity, collaboration, and experience with diverse communities, particularly marginalized groups, is essential.

Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include two or more years of experience in a school setting, receptiveness to feedback, and fluency in Spanish especially valued for this role.

Compensation: $65924 - $100604 / Annually

Envision Academy seeks Licensed Social Emotional Counselors for middle and high school students. Reporting to the school Principal, the Counselor will sustain a safe, college-going culture for diverse learners and their families to ensure social-emotional well-being and a successful transition to college and careers.

Key Responsibilities

• Student academic case management.
• College application support for 12th graders.
• Provide mental health counseling in individual and group formats.
• Participates as a member of the school site's Crisis Response Team.
• Provide individualized services in a full-inclusion model.
• Provide guidance and assistance to students with learning, behavior and/or adjustment challenges.
• Acts as a contact/liaison for families with high needs.
• Coordinates services with mental health counselors.
• Maintain accurate records of all psychological/ counseling/ social services.
• Responds to crises in tandem with colleagues and community personnel.

Qualifications

• Required: A Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field required
• Required: One of the following:
• PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) credential in School Counseling
• MFT (if you hold an MFT, you must also hold a PPS)
• LCSW
• LPCC
• LMFCC
• Licensed Educational, School, or Clinical Psychologist
• Two years or more of experience in a school setting preferred 
• Receptiveness to feedback and desire to continuously improve instruction in service of student academic outcomes
• Experience working successfully with parents and families, especially African American, Latine/a/o/x, and immigrant families
• Spanish fluency preferred

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range for this role is: $65,924 - $100,604 and is dependent upon years of aligned experience and credentials.

• Additional Leadership Stipends for:
• Instructional Lead Team: $5,000
• Grade Level Lead Team: $5,000
• Summer Professional Development: $250/day
