At Figma, we are creating a community of practice where our users can connect, learn, and advance their skills through sharing with one another. Our advocacy team are at the core of the Figma Community—online, in written and video content, and in live interactions with users. This Designer Advocate Manager will be a key partner to support our marketing, sales and product teams by helping add design perspectives and product knowledge to our go to market strategy, build relationships with our user community, and advocate for users internally with our product teams. This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you'll do at Figma:
- Lead the AMER Designer Advocate team:Support and grow a diverse team of Designer Advocates who help scale our community engagement, sales support, and content efforts
- Enable Figma users at scale:Prioritize, assign, and collaborate with the team to deliver the highest value one to many content to support our customers (ex: livestreams, written content, presentations, Figma community resources, etc)
- Partner with marketing: Support our marketing efforts from events to product launches and to drive adoption of new features and enable users on new capabilities and workflows
- Partner with Customer Experience: Support our highest value sales opportunities with consultations and scalable onboarding programs to enable our customers to become experts in the product
- Advocate for users with the product team: Help continuously improve internal processes to bring advocate insights from customer engagements to the product teams
- Motivate and empower the community: Enable the team to maintain and build relationships with users in the community and identify ways to improve internal processes to track and measure community engagement
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 5+ years of leading a design-related team (design ops, design systems, or marketing)
- Ability to work cross functionally with teams like sales, product and marketing leadership; ability to gain support to drive projects and new initiatives forward
- Comfortable presenting to large groups of people
- Knowledge of product design and development workflows
- An entrepreneurial mindset and joy for iterating on projects from early experimental ideas through to completion
- Comfort-level with up to 25% of travel
