About the Opportunity
As an Exam Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our partners are certified with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in selling, solutioning and deploying VMware Cloud Foundation solutions to our customers. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with leadership to understand training and learning requirements, designing and implementing effective certification programs, and staying informed about the credentialing industry trends to ensure our offerings remain world-class.
To excel in this role, you'll need a blend of extensive experience in designing effective certification programs and developing legally defensible certification exams. Your ability to develop a highly desirable certification program and effectively collaborate with both internal stakeholders and partner audiences will be key. Additionally, experience in marketing and driving program adoption within the IT industry will be highly beneficial.
Your Responsibilities
• Facilitate exam development workshops: Job task analysis, item writing/review, and standard setting
• Recruit and collaborate with subject matter experts
• Train subject matter experts on psychometric standard, training style guidelines and exam development best practices
• Build, maintain and support exams and reporting requirements
• Manage and implement item development processes
• Manage the life cycle of the certification exams from initiation, design, development, maintenance, support and retirement
• Create and maintain program documents, policies and procedures
• Use psychometric measurements to create and report on subject matter expert, item, and exam development metrics
About you!
• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design/Adult Learning, or a related field; Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3+ years of experience working with SMEs to develop performance-based testing solutions for an IT or technical organization
• Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
• A self-starter with ability to work independently, exceptional communication to connect with the internal technical stakeholders and partner audiences.
