Summary
The Associate Director for AP Educator Community manages day-to-day operations for consultants, moderators, and reviewers supporting AP professional learning across 40+ courses. This role directly impacts over 40,000 teachers annually by ensuring high-quality delivery of AP training, resources, and course authorization support.
Key Responsibilities: Manage recruitment, training, and performance of AP consultants, Online Teacher Community moderators, and reviewers while assigning staff to professional learning events and monitoring evaluations. Coordinate the execution of AP Summer Institutes and workshops, maintain consultant communications across online communities, and evaluate processes to improve teacher and reviewer support.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency with Cvent and Salesforce platforms, strong understanding of AP programs, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and capacity to effectively manage large groups of consultants. Experience with educational technology adoption and process evaluation is essential.
Qualifications: Experience with AP courses, particularly AP English and AP Capstone courses, combined with a demonstrated passion for educational opportunities and teacher development. Background in educational programming, community management, or consultant coordination is preferred.
Location: Remote from New York, United States; candidates near College Board offices may work hybrid (Tuesday-Wednesday in office) with occasional required business travel.
Compensation: $56,000 – $85,000 / annually
