Role Snapshot
Join ConeTec as a Machine Learning Resident to develop AI-assisted tools for geotechnical site characterization and build ML-based systems for identifying site composition risks in a 12-month paid residency with potential for permanent hire.
Key Responsibilities: Design and implement machine learning models for data extraction from unstructured reports, preprocess and curate large datasets, and optimize ML pipelines for real-time processing while collaborating with domain experts and conducting knowledge transfer activities.
Skills & Tools: Strong background in machine learning with experience in OCR and LLMs, proficiency in Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, solid understanding of statistics, and ability to work with both structured and unstructured data.
Qualifications: MSc or PhD in Computer Science or related field required, with familiarity in handling structured and unstructured data and a record of academic publication preferred.
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Compensation: CA$70K–CA$110K/yr
