Position Overview
Reporting to the Provost and Executive Vice President, the Interim Vice Provost for Digital Learning Initiatives leads and coordinates the University’s online, distance, and flexible learning strategy — including academic program development, continuing and professional education, and independent study offerings. The vice provost partners with academic deans, department administrators, faculty, and senior leadership on program planning and implementation, and ensures appropriate participation of faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders in related decision-making. This is an interim appointment through June 30, 2027, providing leadership continuity while the University conducts a search for a permanent appointment.

| Special Instructions to Applicants | This is an interim appointment through June 30, 2027. Applications must be received by September 29, 2026 for first consideration. The interview process is anticipated to begin the week of October 5 with an appointment being made early October. In addition to the online application, applicants must submit a resume/CV and a cover letter addressing the required qualifications and experience related to the job responsibility areas. The appointment will be at least .5 FTE and is negotiable depending on the incumbent’s ability to adjust their current workload. Both faculty and exempt staff are eligible to serve in the interim leadership role.
