Summary

The Manager of College Information Technology oversees all IT functions, budgets, and infrastructure at the college level while collaborating with the central Office of Information Technology. This role drives strategic IT initiatives supporting educational programs, research, and media production.

Key Responsibilities: Manage IT operations, budgets, staff, and infrastructure; develop and implement IT strategies aligned with college priorities. Supervise IT staff, oversee technology and media infrastructure, allocate resources, and lead efforts to incorporate emerging technologies.
Skills & Tools: Strong leadership and communication abilities, IT budget management, strategic planning, and knowledge of current and emerging technologies in communications and media. Experience in hiring, developing, and supervising IT staff with ability to collaborate across departments.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with four years of IT experience, or Master's degree with two years of IT experience. Preferred experience in higher education IT and media production technologies.

The Manager of College Information Technology assists with oversight of all IT functions handled at the college level. Represents college's needs and interests with central Office of Information Technology (OIT). Partners with OIT on projects and issues as needed and adhere to OIT policies, procedures, and guidance. May manage some resources of assigned areas to accomplish goals and objectives. May supervise IT and other staff, as well as provide guidance and direction to other college staff.

Oversees all college IT functions, budgets, and infrastructure. Leads collaborative development and implementation of IT plans and projects in support of the College's strategic priorities, educational programs, research initiatives, and media properties. Allocates and manages IT operations and equipment budgets. Provides strategic direction for development of IT infrastructure and media production infrastructure within the College. Maintains the College's technology and media production infrastructure. Leads efforts to incorporate emerging technologies in the College’s research and educational offerings. Supervises a team which provides comprehensive, advanced IT advice and support for faculty, staff, and students.

Ability to develop and execute IT strategies that align with the College’s overall objectives, including forecasting future needs, managing budgets, and optimizing IT investments and staffing. Understanding of current and emerging technologies related to communications, media, and information industries. Ability to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure. Experience with hiring, developing, and leading IT staff, fostering a high-performing team environment. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other staff units, faculty, and students.

Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of IT experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of IT experience.

Preferred Qualifications:  University or other higher education experience. Experience working with implementation and maintenance of media production and management technologies (e,g. cameras, studios, and storage area networks). Project management software or tools (Trello, Asana, etc.) experience. Certification in relevant IT or audio-visual fields (CompTIA, AVIXA, etc.).
