Role Snapshot
Join Reading Partners as an AmeriCorps Member to provide vital literacy support to young readers in the San Francisco Bay Area. This full-time service position offers intensive training and professional development while making a meaningful impact on students' reading proficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Serve in-person full-time providing individualized reading support to students and participate in community engagement activities. Complete a service term of 900+ hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with training conducted at Reading Partners offices or partner school sites.
Skills & Tools: Strong attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities, and openness to learning technology systems such as Salesforce, Google Apps, and Zoom. Ability to collaborate in a team environment and work independently.
Qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma or GED, US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status, and be at least 18 years old. Experience volunteering with community-based or education programs is a bonus.
Location: San Francisco, California
Compensation: From $15K/yr
