Role Snapshot
Part-Time Faculty (Doctoral Mentor) at Capella University mentoring doctoral learners in Human Services through the GuidedPath asynchronous learning format. Role involves delivering high-quality instruction from pre-designed curriculum and guiding learners to successful degree completion.
Key Responsibilities: Mentor doctoral learners, provide timely feedback on assignments within 48 hours, guide courseroom discussions, participate in doctoral committees, and attend faculty meetings and trainings. Travel within the US for doctoral residencies and participate in university activities as needed.
Skills & Tools: Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation and technology, strong organizational and computer skills, and ability to manage stressful situations professionally and ethically.
Qualifications: Doctoral degree in human services or related field required; program evaluation experience in human or social services required; mentoring experience required; three years of teaching experience preferred; minimum three years professional experience at graduate level required.
