Summary

Part-time SAT/ACT tutor position with StudyPoint, a national leader in one-on-one test prep tutoring. Tutors deliver personalized instruction to high school students preparing for standardized tests, working flexibly from students' homes and online.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging SAT/ACT instruction across all test sections using StudyPoint's provided curriculum, customize lessons for individual student needs, communicate effectively with students and parents, and create positive learning environments. Tutors manage their own schedules and service areas while utilizing the company's online grading system.

Skills & Tools: Expert knowledge of SAT/ACT content including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and verbal sections. Strong communication, adaptability, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and manage flexible schedules.

Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of teaching and/or tutoring experience and a bachelor's degree required. Must demonstrate confidence tutoring all SAT/ACT sections and have reliable transportation to travel to students' homes.

Location: In-Person - Minneapolis & St. Paul

Compensation: $25–$50/hr (estimated)

Job Description

StudyPoint's expert tutors have the following qualifications::

A minimum of 2 years of teaching and/or tutoring experience

Bachelor’s degree

Strong academic background

Confidence tutoring ALL sections of the SAT/ACT including both verbal and math sections (Math sections include Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and some Trigonometry)

Reliable car access to travel to students’ homes

Typical Hours:

Prime tutoring hours generally fall outside of school hours and on weekends. Your availability should include 6 or more hours per week and should be primarily be in the following time blocks:

Monday-Friday: 3pm-9pm

Saturday/Sunday: 9am-9pm

We tutor in the following towns in your area: Minneapolis, St. Paul, Maple Grove, Brooklyn Park, Coon Rapids, Anoka, Lino Lakes, Stillwater, Lake Elmo, Woodbury, Eagan, Apple Valley, Lakeville, Burnsville, Bloomington, Edina, Wayzata, Minnetonka, Chanhassen, Shakopee. Being able to cover some of these towns will help ensure that we are able to pair you with in-home students!
