Summary
Strategic Education is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a development team in delivering high-quality software solutions while mentoring team members and collaborating with cross-functional teams on technical roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a development team including remote members, support development and implementation of engineering solutions, collaborate on security best practices, contribute to technical architecture decisions, and monitor team performance metrics.
Skills & Tools: Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous technical and product problems with high-quality architectural principles, working knowledge of SQL databases, modern frameworks (Ruby on Rails, NodeJS), cloud platforms (AWS), and project management tools (Jira); excellent communication and influence skills across organizational levels.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field with 6-8 years of relevant software development experience and 2-4 years in a leadership role; Cloud Architect/Developer certification (AWS or GCP) is preferred.
Location: Remote from United States of America
Compensation: $116,300 – $174,500/year
