Summary
Join the Molecular Cell editorial team as a Scientific Editor to shape the future of molecular biology research by assessing submissions, overseeing peer reviews, and engaging with the global scientific community.
Key Responsibilities: Assess research submissions, oversee peer review processes, recruit exciting studies, commission review articles, and represent the journal at scientific conferences and research institutions while collaborating with the editorial team on strategy and content.
Skills & Tools: Ph.D. in molecular biology with critical thinking abilities, strong communication skills, and talent for distilling complex concepts; requires organizational skills and ability to work well in diverse team settings.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in any area related to molecular biology required; at least two years of prior editorial experience expected for the Scientific Editor level, though not required for the Associate Scientific Editor level.
Location: Hybrid in Medford, Massachusetts, United States
Compensation: $71,600 – $119,400/year
