Role Snapshot
Join Reading Partners as a full-time AmeriCorps Member in Washington, DC to provide individualized reading support to students from January to June 2026, helping them achieve grade-level reading proficiency by fourth grade.
Key Responsibilities: Commit to 900+ hours of service providing one-on-one reading intervention to students, participate in intensive training and ongoing professional development, and manage competing priorities while working Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Skills & Tools: Strong attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities, teamwork and independent working abilities, and openness to learning technology systems like Salesforce, Google Apps, and Zoom.
Qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18 years old, hold US citizenship or permanent resident status, and have strong organizational skills; prior experience in community service or national service programs is a bonus.
Location: Washington
Compensation: From $14K/yr
